'MIND BLOWN'

Fans amazed to find out just how far away target is in archery with Paris Olympics stars making it look easy

The middle of the target is also incredibly small

FANS have been left astonished after seeing just how far away the archers are from their target at the Olympic Games.

When watching on TV, the camera often splits to show the competitor and the target.

As a result, it is difficult to quantify the distance the athletes are aiming from.

But fan footage has now shown just how incredible it is to even hit the target from where they are.

Olympic competitors are 70 metres (230 feet) away.

The "10" ring is just 12 centimetres, meaning athletes are aiming for a centre which is the size of a DVD.

Reacting to the distance, one social media user said: ";Anyone else’s mind blown when you realise how far away the Olympics archery target is?!"

While another added: "On TV they never show that. Wow."

A third replied: "The target’s in a different time zone!"

A fourth responded: "They should really make this more clear in the broadcast."
