Among them is Holland star and former Manchester United player Memphis Depay.

But Onana's focus will be on Villa this season as he revealed he was convinced to make the move by manager Unai Emery's exciting project, which will include Champions League football.

The defensive midfielder turned down better financial terms from United to pen a five-year-contract with the Villans.

Onana said: "I think that's where I should be [Villa]. For me, Aston Villa is part of the top of English football. The ranking speaks for itself and is significant.
