AC Milan have already been left in the dust by United this summer, as Old Trafford chiefs beat them to the signature of Zirkzee.

Zirkzee had allegedly agreed personal terms with the San Siro before Sir Jim Ratcliffe's men swooped in to nab him last month.

The 23-year-old subsequently signed a five-year deal with United after completing a £42.5million transfer from Serie A side Bologna.

And now reports in France claim United are also keen on Monaco star Fofana.

The 25-year-old midfielder has already agreed personal terms with AC Milan - but United’s interest could throw a spanner in the works.

A report from stated: “The France international is the subject of interest from both the Red Devils and the Rossoneri.

";However, Monaco are not willing to entertain any offers below the £29.5m mark for the former Strasbourg man.”

Like Zirkzee, Fofana has reportedly agreed to a four-year-deal with the Rossoneri but a transfer fee has not been confirmed.

Brazilian star Casemiro has been heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League but a move is yet to materialise.

Meanwhile, McTominay has been linked with Fulham and Galatasaray.

On McTominay's interest, Ten Hag said: "I think we have very good players so they'll always have an interest from other clubs.

"If you score 10 goals in a season and perform very well for Scotland there will be an interest.

"We want to actually keep him because he's a very important player for our squad.

"We've seen what he can contribute last season. When we had the sixes and he could play in a more advanced role, he's a highly interesting player for our team."
