Barcelona have harked back to their first ever kit for the inspiration for their newest home strip.

With this season marking 125 years of the Catalan giants, Barcelona and Nike have made a kit that splits the iconic blue and red in two rather than their usual striped look.

ITV pundits gush over Yamal and reveal what they did at 16 from working on building sites to drinking cider in a field

The design is one that was used in the club's first ever kit, over a century ago, as well as being chosen for the 2006/07 and 2008/09 kits.

Yamal won't just be sporting a new kit for Barcelona next season, but also a new number.

The teen sensation has ditched the number 27 and will instead wear the number 19 from next season.

The new number has had fans thinking his career is "scripted" with the number 19 also worn by Lionel Messi during his early days at the Nou Camp.

Yamal has already been compared to Messi after photos emerged of the winger being bathed by the Argentina superstar when he was just a baby as part of a charity photoshoot.

Yamal is certainly getting off to the right start if he does want to follow in the footsteps of the great Lionel Messi.

The youngster was a standout star at Euro 2024 this summer, registering five goal contributions in Germany.
