MATTHIJS DE LIGT "wants to join Manchester United imminently" and has reportedly told Bayern Munich to seal the transfer.
The Dutch defender is a top target for the Red Devils and has previously worked under Erik ten Hag.
The 24-year-old played for the Dutch manager during his time at Ajax before joining Juventus in 2019.
Sky Sports reporter has now claimed that De Ligt wants to join the Red Devils with "immediate effect."
He added Bayern have been informed about his decision and advanced talks between the clubs have taken place but there is no deal done yet.
Only a verbal agreement between United and De Ligt regarding a long-term contract has been struck.

De Ligt's agent Rafaela Pimenta is working on the final details to get a deal sealed but Plettenberg has confirmed a medical has not yet been booked.
The centre-back currently has three years left on the deal he signed when joining Bayern from Juventus in 2022.
His Euro 2024 journey with Holland ended without making a single appearance after Wednesday night's 2-1 semi-final defeat against England.

But last season he only played 22 Bundesliga games for Bayern Munich amid a season plagued by an inner knee ligament injury.

Elsewhere, Man Utd are on the brink of signing fellow Dutchman and Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee following discussions with the player's agent.
The squad's first pre-season game will come on July 15 against Rosenberg - the day after the Euro 2024 final.
