Joe Burgess dreams of finally becoming an NRL hit after helping Wigan to World Club Challenge glory
Winger whose hat-trick sunk Cronulla hopes to make up for flopping with Aussie clubs Sydney Roosters and South Sydney
JOE BURGESS has an eye on downing the Aussies again after helping Wigan become world champs — saying he might have another go at the NRL.
The Warriors winger is a home-town hero after his hat-trick in the 22-6 World Club Challenge win over Cronulla.
But Burgess, 22, is keen to show what he can really do Down Under after flopping during spells with Sydney Roosters and South Sydney.

He said: “I really wanted to give it a go over there and I was a bit disappointed with myself.
“Maybe I didn’t give it a chance but I can always go back, I’m only young.
“I’ve got time to go back but for now I’m just all for Wigan.”
Burgess wants to clean up domestically with the Warriors this season.
He added: “100 per cent this is why I came back. We can win four trophies this year.”
