Liverpool Champions League winner, 32, takes up new career as a pastor after ‘memorable and unforgettable’ moment
A LIVERPOOL cult hero has announced that he has become a pastor of an evangelical church.
The ex-Brazil star was consecrated at a church founded himself in his hometown of Maceio.
They also added: "From our encounter with Christ, a longing burns in our hearts: that people may know this love that has reached us.
"Now we have another yearning and responsibility: to be pastors after God's own heart and who cooperate with the Kingdom."

Back in 2020, the forward was baptised in the swimming pool at the house of his former teammate Alisson.
The former Hoffenheim ace often shares religious messages on his page and snapshots of him preaching.
In 2023 the pastor joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli and has since made 34 appearances and scored nine goals.
