JAPANESE pool player Naoyuki Oi gave one of the most incredible post-match interviews in sporting history on Saturday night.
Eccentric Oi was quizzed by Sky Sports’ Tony Wrighton after booking his place in the quarter-finals of the World Pool Masters in Gibraltar.
And in a far cry from the usual post-match Q&A, filled with cliches and false modesty, Oi went on to deliver one of the most hysterical set of answers ever seen in sport.

In very broken English, Oi ranted: “My name is Naoyuki Oi. Today I am very, very lucky. Congratulations me! Yay!
“English a little. No problem. Only so.”
The Japanese ace went on to talk about an apple and a pear, clearly not answering the questions posed and answering with whatever words sprung to his mind first.
Pulling off an incredible array of bizarre facial expressions, Oi added: “I have a pen. I have an apple.”
Struggling to contain his laughter Wrighton admitted: “I’ve not ever done an interview quite like this Naoyuki.”
Wrighton went on to ask Oi whether he had a chance to win the tournament.
Oi – in a completely over-the-top manner – pondered for a few moments, before barking: “No problem.”
After completing the interview, Wrighton went on to say: “We’re going to be looking forward to seeing him again, and hopefully have another post-match interview!”
And no more than 24 hours later he had his wish, as Oi was knocked out of the Masters.
In the interview, when asked how he was feeling, he bizarrely said: “Excuse me. Can I speak English?
“You? Me? No English. No problem. Every time. Happy!
“Oh my god. Thank you. Go home. I go home!”
