YAASER (4.40 Ayr, nap)

Trainer Jim Goldie is in good form and this six-year-old ran a belter in the Carlisle Bell last time. That’s a hotter race than this and he might have won with more luck in running. He was boxed in a couple of times and only got daylight when the winner had flown. He picked up sharply once in the clear to finish fifth of 17. Dropping back to this trip holds no fears as his best form has been over 7f and a repeat of that Carlisle effort would be good enough.

HAVANA PRINCE (7.25 Ripon, nb)

He has won his last last two starts here and can keep up his 100 per cent record at the track. He had just half a length in hand last time but there was plenty of petrol left in the tank. A 3lb rise in the weights looks fair and this three-year-old can take another step forward.

JESMOND DAWN (9.00 Ripon, treble)

He tanked along before easing to the front when scoring at Redcar 16 days ago. He’s up 6lb for that but did it smoothly and he still looks a fair way ahead of the handicapper.

BETHPAGE (3.45 Worcester, Lucky 15)

She continues in a rich run of form and had plenty in hand when scoring at Southwell. She is best over this 2m4f trip and deserves this crack at a higher grade.
