EAGLE-EYED fans were left shocked after spotting an ITV star in the crowd during England's defeat to New Zealand.

Shaun Wallace of The Chase cheered on Martin Johnson's side at the Forsyth Barr Stadium.

The chaser is enjoying a trip to New Zealand where he is taking part in a series of local fundraising events, while he also shared photos of a visit to a winery.

He was also spotted at the rugby, leaving fans watching on from home a little confused.

One fan reacted saying: "Was that Shaun Wallace from the Chase in the crowd? 😂"

Another added: "The guy from The Chase is here?"

England fell behind early on against the All Blacks but a Mauro Itoje try and Marcus Smith penalty meant the score was 10-10 at half-time.

The Red Roses came out firing after the break and their pressure paid off when Immanuel Feyi-Waboso crossed for England's second try.

Smith missed the resulting conversion and fluffed a penalty moments before, with the ball appearing to hit the tee.

And England were made to rue their missed chances as two penalties from New Zealand gave them a 16-15 lead, which they held onto despite late England pressure.
