IT was the England players chance to spend quality time with their families before their next match, but Annie Kilner was nowhere to be seen.
Reports suggested that the new mum couldn’t face playing ‘happy families’ with husband Kyle Walker, but The Sun can reveal she actually had a more pressing engagement.
Annie in fact jetted off to Italy to celebrate the wedding of her close friend Taylor Ward and Riyad Mahrez.
An source in Italy told us: “Annie is very close to Taylor and wouldn’t have missed her wedding for the world. They all had a wonderful day celebrating against the stunning Italian backdrop.
“Annie looked beautiful in a striking black dress and truly let her hair down, putting all the drama firmly to the back of her mind with all her friends around her.
“The older boys stayed home as to not miss school and are being watched by Annie’s family whilst Kyle stayed in camp to continue training for England ahead of their game on Saturday.”

Riyad and Taylor - who is the daughter of Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward - wed back in January 2022 in a Muslim ceremony.
They then tied the knot for a second time in a beautiful London wedding in September last year.
And they jetted off to Italy this week for a third ceremony and said 'I Do' again at Villa Balbiano, a luxury villa located on the Lake Como – surrounded by celeb pals.
Gareth Southgate allowed the team to have a day off with their nearest and dearest after last weekend’s dramatic 2-1 victory over Slovakia.

Annie has been flying back and forth for each Euros clash with her sons rather than staying in a hotel with the other Wags.
She has been seen beaming from the stands with the couple's fourth child, two-month-old Rezon - with the other Wags rallying around her.
She has continued to show her support for the Three Lions and Manchester City right back ever since he fathered a second child behind her back.
But the Euros have been somewhat shrouded in drama, after the mother of his other children - Lauryn Goodman, arrived in Germany for England's second group match against Denmark.
She jetted out with her and Walker's son Kairo, who wore a Three Lions’ No2 shirt personalised “Daddy”.
Lauryn, 33, claimed the England star offered her tickets to the matches this tournament, something his team have vehemently denied.
The security team looking after England’s Wags were previously warned to keep an eye out for Lauryn at the game against Denmark two weeks ago.
