Conor McGregor wants £100 MILLION to fight Floyd Mayweather as he reveals demand in foul-mouthed social media post

The deal is also complicated by McGregor – who is taking time away from MMA in the build-up to becoming a dad – being contracted to the UFC.

CONOR MCGREGOR has demanded £100m to fight Floyd Mayweather in their potential MMA-boxing crossover match.

The UFC icon is chasing down a fight with the unbeaten 49-0 superstar who has retired with his perfect record intact.

The negotiations have been played out in public, across social media, riddled with insults between the warring pair.

The Irish two-weight boss wants a slice of the mega-money Mayweather attracted during his £300m career.

But the five-weight world champion – who regularly posts pictures of his wealth and betting wins – reckons the Dublin don is miles away from his paygrade.

The deal is also complicated by McGregor – who is taking time away from MMA in the build-up to becoming a dad – being contracted to the UFC.

Dana White, the head of the promotion, offered the pair around £20m each for the showbiz showdown but the Moneyman laughed the offer off and labelled White a comedian.

White said: "I’ll tell you what Floyd, here’s a real offer and I’m the guy, I’m the guy that can actually make the offer and I’m actually making a real offer.

"We pay you $25 million, we’ll pay Conor $25 million and then we’ll talk about pay-per-view at a certain number. There’s a real offer.

"First of all let’s cut the B.S. right from the get go — (Floyd Mayweather) hasn’t talked to anybody about this fight.

"You’re talking to somebody about the fight, you’re talking to me. I’m the promoter. Conor McGregor is under contract to me.”

Mayweather - who has generated around 19.5 million in PPV buys and an alleged £1b in revenue throughout his career - simply replied: "He’s a f***ing comedian."

But McGregor claims he is now the star attraction and should be paid accordingly.

The fight would have to take place in Las Vegas to maximise earnings and, at present, McGregor only has a boxing license for California.

McGregor’s most recent training videos posted online have been boxing-based with his usual grappling and movement drills taking a backseat.

McGregor's most recent comments on the potential deal have been a blunt warning to Mayweather, that he will take his head off with one of his trademark left-hand shots.

McGregor said: "Honestly, my fist is bigger than his head. I sleep people. I put people unconscious.

"I’m stating facts. If I hit a man, his head is gonna go into the bleachers. You understand that?

"If I crack that little head of his, it’s gonna go clean off his shoulder and up into the bleachers."

Mayweather hit back with a series of posts telling the Irishman to get his UFC contract sorted out and then put up or shut up.
