Who is England superfan Andy Milne?

Andy Milne first came to the attention of the general public when he went viral after appearing during a broadcast of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

His appearance was subsequently compared to that of former England boss Steve McClaren.

The supporter has become a household face after being spotted celebrating wildly at several tournaments.

Milne is a member of the England Supporter's Club and has been following the Three Lions for over 40 years.

On his experiences following his country, he told  in 2022: "Normally, I would end up travelling with a group of fans to the next game after England got knocked out.

"I’ve been saving for four years. This was the only full World Cup I could come to, because Qatar is so small, so it’s something I’ve planned for 12 years."

Speaking to Sky Sports in June 2024, Milne revealed he’s been following England’s football team all his life.

The die-hard fan has been to no less than eight World Cups, with the current Euros his ninth.

And Milne has also been showing his support for England’s women after going to the Women’s World Cup.

When asked why he was so popular with fans, Milne said: “I think it’s because my face keeps appearing on the telly.

“I’ve been to a lot of tournaments, this is my ninth Euros.

“I’ve been to eight World Cups and the Women’s World Cup as well.

“I’ve seen no trouble, I’ve had a fantastic time, here in Frankfurt it’s glorious and the atmosphere in the fan park is unbelievable.”

What does Andy Milne do for a living?

Milne is now retired — he reportedly used to work as a teacher.

The super-supporter also likes a flutter, and from his own account does pretty well for himself.

He told the i: "I’m quite good on football tipping on Asian handicaps, so I’ve made quite a lot of money through that.

"If you walk into my dining room at home, there’s a pile of 20 or 25 phones, because you need a new phone for each new account.

"The number of accounts I’ve had is ridiculous. The most I’ve ever had an account closed at is £15,000, the lowest £1,200."

England's route to the Euro 2024 final

ENGLAND began their Euros final campaign in Germany on June 16.

The team topped Group C despite only winning one match.

But that's all behind them now as they prepare to take on Spain in the final on July 14.

Here's their route to the final:

June 16 - vs Serbia: England win 1-0 with a goal from Jude Bellingham in the 13th minute.

June 20 - vs Denmark: Ended 1-1 after Harry Kane's 18th minute strike was cancelled out by Morten Hjulmand.

June 25 - vs Slovenia: The match ended goalless but England topped the group with five points.

June 30 - vs Slovakia: In the last 16 clash Jude Bellingham saved England from being knocked out with a 91st minute equaliser. In extra time Harry Kane secured the win for the Three Lions.

July 6 - vs Switzerland: The quarter-final ended 1-1 after extra time with Bukayo Saka's reply to Breel Embolo's strike. England won 5-3 on penalties.

July 10 - vs Netherlands: Another last gasp goal - this time by Ollie Watkins - saw England head into the final against Spain. Harry Kane scored from the spot to cancel out Xavi Simons' 9th minute goal.

July 14 - vs Spain: England are in their first final on foreign soil and will be hoping to see off the challenge of Spain who won the Euros in 1964, 2008 and 2012.
