ROMA could offer Kalvin Phillips the chance to relaunch his career in Italy.
The Italian giants are known to be admirers of the £45million Manchester City midfielder, who lost his place in the England squad ahead of the Euros.
But according to , coach Daniele De Rossi is concerned about his fitness after a nightmare couple of years.
Phillips started just two Premier League matches – with four more in other competitions – during the first 18 months of his time with the champions.
The 28-year-old former Leeds man then accepted a loan move to West Ham in a desperate attempt to keep his Euro 2024 hopes alive.
However that proved to be a disaster too as he started just three league games – and got a red card in one of those at Nottingham Forest.

At the start of May, the arrangement was cut short due to injury – meaning he returned to his parent club for treatment.
SunSport reported earlier this week how Phillips has indicated to City he wants to return to training early in a bid to put his difficult couple of seasons behind him.
Pep Guardiola’s men are due to return in mid July before embarking on a pre-season tour of North America later in the month.
Phillips is expected to be part of the travelling party for the US – but that could change if a club makes a suitable offer for him.
