What are the lyrics to the Phil Foden chant?

Phil Foden has been one of England's star players at Euro 2024 after the 24-year-old claimed his fourth straight Premier League title with boyhood club Manchester City last season.

The Three Lions faithful have paid tribute to the forward with a chant that has taken over the nation.

Sung to the tune of Bruce Springsteen’s "Dancing in the Dark", the lyrics are:

Can't start a fire,

Phil Foden has been playing through a pain barrier since last season, sporting a bandage on his hand.

Foden was first seen playing with his hand in a bandage on February 5, scoring a stunning hat-trick in the 3-1 win at Brentford.

Both Foden and team-mate Ruben Dias were playing with fractures last season, 

Dias fractured his arm in the FA Cup win at Tottenham in January, while Foden injured his soon after.

PHIL FODEN may be flashy on the pitch, but the Premier League’s Player of the Year is a humble family man off it.

The Man City superstar earns an astonishing salary believed to be £11.7million-per-year.

But the Stockport kid is frugal with his cash as he enjoys his down time with childhood sweetheart Rebecca and their two kids.

Foden only passed his driving test last year… and turns up for training in City’s glittering club car park in a £40k VOLKSWAGEN.

And in his spare time he loves nothing more than a FISHING trip.

He celebrated his first big City contract by buying his mum and dad a Cheshire mansion and lives with them until 2021.

But Foden has now splashed out on a luxury £3million mansion for his own growing family.
