CHELSEA flop Michy Batshuayi is reportedly close to completing a very controversial transfer.

The striker is out of contract at the end of the month and looks set to leave Fenerbahce.

Batshuayi, 30, joined the Turkish giants two years ago and scored 44 goals in 75 games, but missed out on the Super Lig title by three points last season.

Rivals Galatasaray pipped Fenerbache to top spot and they are now close to pinching Batshuayi.

According to , the Belgian is set to put pen to paper on a three-year deal worth £50,000 a week.

The move across Istanbul is very controversial and is likely to win him no favours amongst Fenerbahce fans.

To make matters worse, Batshuayi has already played for the other Istanbul giant - Besiktas.

He scored 14 goals in 33 games for the Turkish outfit on loan from Chelsea in the 2021-22 season, before signing for Fenerbahce.

Batshuayi sparked uproar last season with his late winner against Trabzonspor.

Opposition fans stormed the pitch in response and began to attack Fenerbahce stars, including Batshuayi.

    Baggio refused to take a penalty during the match and even annoyed his own fans by picking up a Fiorentina scarf and draping it around his neck while walking off the pitch.

    Carlos Tevez - Man Utd to Man City

    The striker won the Premier League and Champions League with Manchester United before a quirk in his contract meant he was still owned by his agent.

    The Red Devils could have bought Tevez but they were pipped to his signature by Manchester City.

    And the rivals infamously celebrated the move by plastering Tevez's face on a billboard with the slogan: "Welcome to Manchester."

    This gave rise to the nickname ‘Cashley Cole’, though his quotes have been taken slightly out of context in that he believed he was being offered considerably less than the Gunners had initially promised to pay him.

    He reacted by attempting a spinning kick on one supporter, with QPR star Bright Osayi-Samuel punching a fan to the ground.

    Fenerbache threatened to quit the league over the chaos.
