A WELSH rugby hero floored two bouncers in a boozed-up street ruck after chasing one of them with a shoe, The Sun can reveal.
Scrum-half Gareth Davies will line up against England and scored the try which knocked the Red Rose out of the World Cup in 2015.
But shameful footage shows the stocky Six Nations ace in an early hours maul with a nightclub bouncer - before chasing him along a street with the bouncer’s shoe which had fallen off in the melee.
Bleary-eyed Davies, 26, then tackles the grey-haired bouncer repeatedly accusing him of "hitting a girl on the floor" through the street in Aberystwyth, West Wales.
The film shows the Wales No 9 flapping the shoe at the man – who has security written on his shirt –before the older man stumbles to the ground.
Davies, wearing a jacket and tie, then stands over him and continues to shout in his face – before being pulled away by another bouncer.
Throughout the footage – thought to be from earlier this year – a mystery woman is heard pleading with him to stop, and says: "Gareth just give the shoe back."
She later warns him: "Gareth please, you will lose your job for this".
Another man can also be heard telling him to "cool down" during the maul in the seaside town.
But Davies is then confronted by the second bouncer – but the doorman also falls to the floor as they tussle before the footage, filmed on a mobile phone, cuts out.
Davies, who plays for Llanelli rugby club The Scarlets, was believed to be in the town visiting his sister and was outside Downies Vaults when the scuffle erupted outside.
Davies accuses the man saying: "You can’t hit a girl on the floor."
The man replies: "I didn’t hit her I pushed her away."
The woman can be heard saying: "No he didn’t. It was self-defence I hit him."
Davies broke English hearts when his 72nd minute try knocked Stuart Lancaster's team out of the Rugby World Cup in 2015.
He was hailed a hero in Wales after embarrassing England in their own tournament at Twickenham and ending Lancaster's reign as England coach.
And Davies, who has 22 international caps, will play a key part in Wales' squad when they host England at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff for their Six Nations clash.
He is set to start on the bench but is likely to be used by coach Rob Howley as a substitute to make an impact with his pace and power later in the game.
The Welsh RFU declined to comment.
