Darts legend Phil Taylor agrees to play Luke Littler in exhibition match – but only when he’s recovered from injury

DARTS legend Phil Taylor has revealed he would agree to play an exhibition match against "brilliant" Luke Littler.

Taylor, who is widely considered the greatest darts player of all time, is set to retire later this year.

But before he steps away from the oche for good, 'the Power' wants to face teen sensation Littler, who burst onto the scene in December and won his maiden Premier League Darts title just last month.

However, he will have to fully recover from an injury first.

Taylor told : "I can’t do it at the minute (following an injury), but will I do it? Of course I would."

The 63-year-old previously admitted he would be up for a match against Littler - but only if he can play a single leg of 301 and take to the board first.

Littler is also eager to take part in the exhibition.

Asked if he would consider it during an interview for the MMA Hour, he said: "Yeah! I'd love to play him.

"He's said some really nice things. I've not seen him after the World Championships.

"I've seen the interviews when he's speaking about me but I've not actually met him after the Worlds.

Littler won his first Premier League Darts title last month after beating Luke Humphries 11-7 in a thrilling final.
