THE 2024 World Pool Championship has concluded - and we have a new nineball champion.

Fedor Gorst claimed the title and the huge $250,000 jackpot despite a spirited comeback from Eklent Kaci in a thrilling 29-rack final.

2023 champ Francisco Sanchez Ruiz was knocked out by Mickey Krause in the first round of Stage 2.

Brit hero was eliminated after he was beaten 8-11 by David Alcaide in the second round of Stage 2.

    That game takes place later this afternoon and will be the final match of the day to get going, at 2pm UK time.

    Celtic fanatic Jayson Shaw is out of the tournament having last to David Alcaide.

    Eagle Eye fell to his Mosconi Cup team-mate in a tense game, losing 11-8.

    Defending champion Francisco Sanchez Ruiz also suffered a shock defeat.

    As one of the favourites for the tournament, the Spaniard fell to Dane Mickey Krause - who will face Dang Jin Hu in the last-16.
