NORWICH are set to appoint Nordsjaelland boss Johannes Hoff Thorup as their new manager.
The 35-year-old is in line to replace David Wagner, who was sacked after the Canaries’ 4-0 play-off defeat at Leeds this month.
Thorup took charge of what may turn out to be his final Danish Superliga game yesterday, a 1-1 draw at Copenhagen.
And the Dane was quizzed about the Carrow Road job but kept tight-lipped.
He said: “Have I heard anything from Norwich?
“As I’ve said several times, when I’m employed somewhere I have so much respect for them.

“Just look at this scenery behind me right now. It would be disrespectful to talk about other clubs or other situations.
“No matter if it was close or completely miles away — I’m never ever going to go into that.
“This club means so much that we shouldn’t be standing here on the last day of the season talking about everything else.”
Nordsjaelland is Thorup’s first club as a manager.

After working his way through the ranks, he became boss in January last year and has since won 34 of 66 games at the helm.
As for Wagner, he arrived in Norwich at the same time and went on to win 31 of his 75 matches.
Before moving to Carrow Road, he had spells with Young Boys and Schalke.
But it was Wagner’s time at Huddersfield that made him a name in England, winning 51 of his 154 games while winning Premier League promotion in 2017.
After Wagner's Norwich exit, sporting director Ben Knapper said: "David has operated with class and dignity throughout his period as Norwich City head coach, but we now feel that the time is right for us to move in a different direction.
“We remain committed to progressing our football club, in both the short and long-term, working through a diligent and thorough strategy.
“The appointment of a new head coach is an important one. We will now work and continue our due diligence with the view of making an appointment in the near future.”
