Soutar this world
Alan Soutar stunned Daryl Gurney 8-7 in the final to win the 11th Players Championship tournament of the season in Hildesheim, Germany.
The Scot, 46, was in his first PDC rankings final after three semi-final defeats.
But he finally landed his finest triumph.
Soutar overcame Steve Beaton 6-5, Martin Lukeman 6-2, Danny Noppert 6-2, Ritchie Edhouse 6-4, Niels Zonneveld 6-3 and then Dirk van Duijvenbode 7-0 before edging out Northern Ireland's Gurney.
The Power would've loved playing the Nuke
Darts legend Dennis Priestley reckons all-time great Phil Taylor would have relished taking on Luke Littler at his peak.
Priestley reckons peak Power against a young Nuke could have ignited the sport like little else.
He told BestAnonymousCasinos: "Watching Luke Littler, Phil Taylor would love to be young again because he has that mindset means he loves to overcome obstacles.
"A young Phil Taylor would’ve been good enough to knock Littler down a peg or two."
Littler has 'fear factor' like young Iron Mike
Luke Littler is a scary teen tornado just like the young Mike Tyson was.
That's the view of ex-darts world champion Dennis Priestley - except Littler has swapped iron fists for tungsten flights.
Priestley reckons the young Iron Mike pulverised his early opponents helped by a huge "fear factor".
And the Englishman, 73, believes Littler often has the same chiling effect.
Priestley told BestAnonymousCasinos: "He’s done all this just within six months, he has been the fastest millionaire darts player of all time and probably the fastest millionaire in all of sport, at the age of just 17.
"Luke Littler has burst onto the scene like a young Mike Tyson, who would often beat his opponents on fear alone.
"There is that fear factor around Littler already, which comes from the way he is playing and the way he is winning."
Cross reveals event has 'changed' him
Rob Cross claims the World Series title has "changed" him as a player.
Voltage gave his rivals "watt for" in New York last weekend to win the US Masters.
Cross, 33, told PDC.tv: “I feel like I’ve been playing well all year.
“I just need to be a little bit more disciplined because the game is changing. Everyone is progressing, and if I need to be better at my job then I need to put the work in.
“The World Series has been a catalyst for me. I believe it’s changed me as a player.
“If you want to be the best in the world I think it’s very important to be involved in the World Series, because you’re taking the game all over the world, and darts is as big as it’s ever been.”
It's Orl Luke could want!
Luke Littler and girlfriend Eloise Milburn enjoyed a well-earned holiday as they relaxed on a day out at Universal Studios in Orlando.
The loved-up couple jetted to Florida with family members following Littler’s American debut in New York earlier this month.
The 17-year-old Brit has enjoyed a sensational first year with darts’ senior stars, making his name at the World Darts Championship with a runners-up finish.
But Littler made amends by lifting the Premier League title at the first time of asking.
And although he was unable to replicate that success in the US Darts Masters, Littler was all smiles as he remained across the pond for a deserved break.
The teen and partner Eloise, 21, put on a cosy display as they posed with family at the gates of Universal Studios in Orlando.
The Warrington whizkid will be one of the many stars in action at the Poland Darts Masters on Friday, along with fellow aces like Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen.
Nice Littler earner
DARTS ace Luke Littler will hit the bullseye as an after-dinner speaker earning up to £10,000 per talk.
The 17-year-old superstar has been signed up by the agency Champions to tell sports clubs and businesses of his meteoric rise to the top of the sport.
The firm already has stars including former England footie managers Kevin Keegan and Glenn Hoddle on its books and has high hopes for its new recruit.
Champions says: “Luke is making his mark in the world of darts, and solidifying his name in the history books of the sport.
“Having impressed the world with his talents at just 16 years of age, don’t miss your opportunity to hire Luke Littler to speak about his darts career today!”
Where was Luke Littler?
Darts fans may have wondered where Luke Littler was for the Nordic Darts Masters.
Littler is currently on holiday in Orlando, Florida, taking a well-earned rest from the busy darts calendar.
Dimitri Van den Bergh replaced the Premier League king in Copenhagen instead.
Price sounds a warning cry
After winning the Nordic Darts Masters, Gerwyn Price is in confident mood.
He warned his rivals: "I will push on from here.
"My game is in a good place, and I’m ready for the big tournaments coming up."
Taylor fancies taking on Littler
DARTS legend Phil Taylor has revealed he would agree to play an exhibition match against "brilliant" Luke Littler.
Taylor, who is widely considered the greatest darts player of all time, is set to retire later this year.
But before he steps away from the oche for good, 'the Power' wants to face teen sensation Littler, who burst onto the scene in December and won his maiden Premier League Darts title just last month.
However, he will have to fully recover from an injury first.
Taylor told Spinbet: "I can’t do it at the minute (following an injury), but will I do it? Of course I would."
The 63-year-old previously admitted he would be up for a match against Littler - but only if he can play a single leg of 301 and take to the board first.

Price 'chuffed' with win
Gerwyn Price has reflected on his Nordic Darts Masters victory on Saturday night.
After beating Rob Cross in the final, Price said: “I’m chuffed to bits.
“I have been struggling to get over the winning line, but you need a bit of luck sometimes and I haven’t had much luck over the last couple of months.
“I had a little bit of luck in the semi-finals against Michael Smith who didn’t capitalise on a poor game from me, but I’m just glad to win a final and get another trophy in the bank.“I will push on from here. My game is in a good place, and I’m ready for the big tournaments coming up.”
Price wins in Copenhagen
Gerwyn Price won the Nordic Darts Masters in Copenhagen on Saturday night.
The Iceman beat Dimitri Van den Bergh and Michael Smith before triumphing 8-5 over Rob Cross in the final.
Price's victory is his first World Series title since winning the New Zealand Darts Masters in 2022.
Price celebrates
Gerwyn Price celebrates winning the Nordic Darts Masters.
What a triumph for the Iceman.
Price is your winner
Gerwyn Price pockets £20k, after defeating Rob Cross in the final.
He goes one better than last year, after losing the final to Peter Wright.
Price WINS Nordic Darts Masters
The Iceman was denied the title by Peter Wright last year, but he came back to Copenhagen and took the crown in 2024.
Price took a healthy lead early on in the final but a spirited comeback from Cross made it a nervy ending for the Welshman.
The Iceman's 8-5 win will see him go home £20,000 richer!
Price 7-5 Cross
The Welshman goes within one on the title despite a spirited comeback from Cross.
Cross wins
Unbelievable from Rob Cross.
Voltage has put in a vintage performance to defeat Luke Humphries 7-4.
It's another showdown in a World Series final for Price and Cross.
What drama.
Back to back finals
The Iceman is through to the final.
It's back to back finals for Gerywn Price, who was just sensational in the 7-3 demolition of Michael Smith.
You wouldn't put it past him winning this one.
Colossal encounter in the semi
How's this for a semi?
No stopping Humphries
Cool Hand Luke wins in emphatic style.
Humphries destroys Johan Engstrom 6-1 and roars into the semi-final.
Incredibly, he hit five 180s in that demolition.
Cross 6-2 Bunting
Rob Cross, champion of New York, is on fire.
He's eased past Stephen Bunting, who didn't have a prayer.
Highlight was seeing an animated Cross pump the air, and quite rightly so, following a 114 checkout to go 4-1 ahead.
That more or less sealed it, you feel.
Smith wins the battle
Michael Smith has seen off his best mate again, Nathan Aspinall.
It finished 6-3 to Bully Boy in the end, despite Smith averaging less than his rival.
Smith is off to the semis.
Who will join him? Rob Cross or Stephen Bunting?
Amazing from Price
With an average of 104.97, Gerwyn Price has just blown away Dimitri Van den Bergh.
The Iceman smashed his rival 6-1 to march into the semi-finals.
It's Michael Smith and Nathan Aspinall next.
What a match to kick off proceedings
Top seed Gerwyn Price takes on 2022 champion Dimitri Van den Bergh in the opener.
