MOISES CAICEDO scored his first Chelsea goal with a stunner from the halfway line.

The £115million midfielder had an open net to aim at after Bournemouth keeper Neto rushed off his line to tackle Raheem Sterling.

But still Caicedo had it all to do as he lobbed home from just inside his own half to open his Chelsea account in sublime style and leave fans in awe.

One said: "Caicedo might have just scored the goal of the season on the last day of the season. Wow, that’s beautiful."

Another added: "Warra goal by Caicedo I'm crying."

Chelsea beat off Liverpool to the Premier League record signing of Caicedo in the summer.

But the former Brighton man struggled to show his best after starting life in West London before turning his form around of late.

And, along with striker Nicolas Jackson, the pair received high pre-match praise from manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino said: "I expect more from him even if he is doing well. I think next season I have no doubt he will be much better.

"Now he knows what it means to play for Chelsea, all of the pressure off.

"The players believe in the way that we work and they agree in the way we want to apply our philosophy and the way to play and that is fantastic.

"The idea to have players that really trust and believe and that is why the future will be amazing.

"He is one of the players that still has room to improve."

Raheem Sterling added to Caicedo's stunner before Benoit Badiashile's own goal pulled one back for the visitor's.

But Chelsea held out to secure Europa Conference League football next season while ending their campaign with five wins on the spin.
