Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk LIVE RESULT: Reaction as Ukrainian becomes undisputed heavyweight champion after epic bout

OLEKSANDR USYK beat Tyson Fury on Saturday night to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world after a stunning split decision win in Riyadh.

Usyk added Fury's WBC title to his WBA, IBF and WBO straps after a thriller in Saudi Arabia which saw Fury survive a brutal knockdown in the ninth round.

The Ukrainian icon was taken to hospital with a suspected broken jaw after his historic win over the Gypsy King.

Post-fight Fury confirmed he would discuss the potential rematch, loosely scheduled for October, with his wife and children.

Follow all the reaction from Riyadh with our live blog below...

  • The British Mike Tyson arrives

Moses Itauma is making his way to the ring for his clash with Germany's Ilja Mezencev.

Don't blink, folks, this isn't going the distance.

  • Wahab walloped - Wally Downes Jr weighs in

Mark Chamberlain just battered Joshua Wahab into an oxygen mask in a single round.

The Portsmouth lightweight scorched his latest opponent with a violent left hand.

Lee Every is an excellent referee but he probably shouldn't have let Wahab continue - even though he beat the count - because he suffered another furry of brutal blows.

He then folded slowly into the canvas and needed medical attention before he regained his senses. Pompey ace Chambo marches on.

  • Wahab given oxygen

Joshua Wabah needed oxygen from the ringside physician just seconds after his brutal first-round KO defeat to Mark Chamberlain.

Thankfully, he's seemingly got his wits about him - as well as you can after being brutally stopped - and has left the ring.

  • Chamberlain wins in the first!

Mark Chamberlain has just ICED Joshua Wahab in the first round of their Riyadh rumble.

'Thunder' brutally dropped the Nigerian with a peach of straight left.

Wahab, somehow, managed to beat the count.

But he was sent back to the canvas just a few seconds later after eating a flurry of punches in the corner.

That's five stoppage wins in a row for the Brit, who is well and truly on a tear.

  • Lightweights on deck

We move to the lightweight division for a tasty 135lbs dust-up between Mark Chamberlain and Joshua Wahab.

This should be a good one, folks.

  • The 'Undisputed' belt is here

The winner of tonight's mouthwatering showdown will win claim all the heavyweight hardware.

In just a few hours' time, the victor will be adorned in the WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF and Ring Magazine belts.

But they'll also be gifted the newly-created 'Undisputed belt', which has been commissioned by the WBC.

And the belt has been brought to the arena by WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman.

  • Kovalev crushed - Wally Downes Jr weighs in live from Riyadh

Robin Safar just ended the career of light-heavy legend Sergey Kovalev.

The US-based Swede was supposed to give the former world champ a decent test on his first fight in two years and cruiserweight debut.

But instead, he dominated him all the way and dropped him in the final round before getting the decision.

Safar will definitely be back on a big Saudi card but Kova looks well past his best and ready for retirement after a brilliant career.

  • Safar wins!

Robin Safar has just secured the biggest win of his career.

The American has just beaten Russian icon Sergey Kovalev via unanimous decision to remain unbeaten.

    The judges turned in 97-92, 99-90 & 95-94 scorecards.

  • Down goes Kovalev!

Just seconds before the final bell, the once-ferocious Sergey Kovalev is sent to the canvas by Robin Safar.

Hellacious left and right hooks from the American put the Russian on his backside in the final ten seconds of the stanza

The Russian beats the count, but he's well and truly lost this fight.

  • Undisputed legend arrives

The last man to hold all the heavyweight marbles is in the house.

That man, of course, is no other than British boxing legend Lennox Lewis.

Lewis became the undisputed king of the heavyweights in his 1999 rematch with Evander Holyfield, which he won via unanimous decision.

  • England icon arrives

Former Liverpool and England midfielder Steven Gerrard is in the house.

Gerrard, of course, is the manager of Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq.

Something tells me the 43-year-old won't be the only footie star in attendance.

  • Parker shows his class

Joseph Parker was walking into the arena when a brave schoolboy Tyson Fury fan leapt over the security barriers to meet the Gypsy King's pal and sparring partner.

Instead of handing the little lad over, father-of-five Parker took the little scamp on a tour of the ringside VIP area.

    Class act.

  • Early recap from SunSport's Wally Downes Jr

Isaac Lowe - the pocket-pest friend of Tyson Fury opened the Riyadh show with a trademark points win over Hasibullah Ahmadi.

The Westgate Warrior dropped his opponent in round eight and won with the referee's card of 97-92.

Daniel Lapin, the beanpole training partner of Oleksandr Usyk also had his hand raised - winning in the very first round of a largely pointless contest.

The gangly light-heavy whacked the oxygen out of Octavio Pudivitr before the 'contest' even got going.

And David 'Nice Guy' Nyika needed four rounds to finish German cruiserweight rival Michael Seltz.

His PG nickname won't win him any fights but his height, speed and power will help him race up the rankings.

Handsome lad too, and I should know.

  • Celebs galore

Several big-name stars are set to be in attendance for the Fight of the Century.

And two of them, Anthony Joshua and Cristiano Ronaldo, are set to be sat next to one another.

  • Nelson predicts Fury may retire

Johnny Nelson MBE has told  he believes Tyson Fury could quit boxing if he's beaten by Oleksandr Usyk.

“If it’s a bad, devastating loss, Tyson Fury walks away,” he said.

“Tyson is an emotional animal. A bad loss to Oleksandr Usyk will destroy Tyson.

“Tyson is the boss of his team. Frank Warren doesn’t tell Tyson what to do.

“He has made a lot of money, but he’ll be frustrated with himself if he loses to Usyk on Saturday night. It will break him, it will break his heart.”

  • Fury's tactics

Has Tyson Fury revealed how he's going to beat Oleksandr Usyk?

    He revealed:

It's our destiny. They didn’t have the opportunity, we do. All we have to do now is dance.

"I look forward to the challenge. I can outbox him, I’m a very good boxer, but I don’t really use it anymore. I can do the same [as I did vs Klitschko] to him."

  • Fury's pal wins

The undercard has already started, and it was kicked off by Tyson Fury's pal Isaac Lowe.

'The Westgate Warrior' beat Afghanistan's Hasibullah Ahmadi on points.

Ahmadi was floored in the eighth round, before referee Mark Bates gave Lowe the unanimous decisiob.

Lowe trains at Fury's Morecambe gym and the pair were childhood friends.

  • A-list guests

Tonight's fight will bring the A-listers to the Kingdom Arena.

AJ and CR7 have got their seats reserved.

They're be sat next to Turki Al Alshaikh, of course.

  • Woodhall's prediction

Richie Woodhall has been telling TNT Sports his prediction for fight night.

Woodhall said: “I think Tyson Fury will be that step too far for Usyk, too big, he’s difficult to get to, if he boxes at range.

“I think a late stoppage for Tyson Fury.”

That seems to be the general consensus.

  • More fight predictions

David Haye and Derek Chisora have given their two pence on what they think will happen in tonight's fight.

Haye said: “I hope Fury goes for the knockout, if he does we’re in for a hell of a fight.”

While Chisora predicted: “I think Oleksandr will aim for the eye, I think it’ll open up round three or four.”

Here is a reminder of all the confirmed fights set to take place on the undercard of Fury vs Usyk:

  • Agent backs Fury success

Tyson Fury is being back by his agent Spencer Brown to batter Oleksandr Usyk.

He also admitted that a potential bout with Anthony Joshua relies on Saudi boxing kingpin Turki Alalshikh.

He told : “It doesn't matter whether Tyson wins, loses or draws, it doesn't matter - Turki Alalshikh still wants him to fight Anthony Joshua. Simple as that - whether he wins, whether he loses, or whether he draws, the fight he wants is that fight [against AJ], so he will go after that fight.”

"I'm sure we will see Tyson Fury versus Anthony Joshua. When Tyson beats Usyk that fight is enormous, it's bigger than big, isn't it? The Saudis have mentioned it to me - and mentioned it to all of us - the first one would be in Riyadh and if there was a taste for a second one, they would put it on at Wembley. Imagine that.”

"I don't think Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, in my opinion, will happen next because we have a rematch clause with Usyk. But it's all down to Turki's wallet. We've got a few scenarios here, is Usyk-Joshua a fight we want to see again? Or do we all want to Fury-Joshua?

"When Usyk loses, does he say 'I'll take the step aside and then fight the winner'? Personally, probably yes.”

  • Who is Becky Ives?

Becky Ives will be hosting TNT Sport's coverage of Tyson Fury’s fight with Oleksandr Usyk tonight.

The presenter will be replacing Laura Woods after the fan-favourite suffered a horror accident while on holiday.

  • Lewis on Fury v Usyk

Lennox Lewis has insisted he is looking forward to Tyson Fury's clash with Oleksandr Usyk.

I think it is going to be intense. Everybody's eyes are going to be glued for the first few rounds.

It is just going to be excitment after that.

We are going to get a great fight. You have tw undefeated guys who don't know anything about losing.

But ther has to be a winner in this fight so it is going to be like a tug of war.
