Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk LIVE RESULT: Reaction as Ukrainian becomes undisputed heavyweight champion after epic bout

OLEKSANDR USYK beat Tyson Fury on Saturday night to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world after a stunning split decision win in Riyadh.

Usyk added Fury's WBC title to his WBA, IBF and WBO straps after a thriller in Saudi Arabia which saw Fury survive a brutal knockdown in the ninth round.

The Ukrainian icon was taken to hospital with a suspected broken jaw after his historic win over the Gypsy King.

Post-fight Fury confirmed he would discuss the potential rematch, loosely scheduled for October, with his wife and children.

Follow all the reaction from Riyadh with our live blog below...

  • Paris breaks silence

Paris Fury has broken her silence after husband Tyson's first-ever loss in an emotional social media post.

His wife Paris - who he began dating as a teenager - was not in Saudi Arabia to watch the historic title bout.

But she vowed to make it the last time she ever misses her man fight after paying tribute to him online with a throwback snap.

Paris wrote on Instagram: "19 and 20 this newly married, love him more than ever, best man in my eyes.

"Will never not be at your side for a fight again. Even though I couldn't be there, I wished I was."

  • Haye slams ref

David Haye slammed the referee for "giving Tyson Fury 20 seconds to recover" from Oleksandr Usyk's brutal barrage.

And he insisted it "looked really bad ringside" that the Gypsy King was allowed to carry on.

He fumed on TNT Sports: "If Fury was doing that to Usyk it would have been stopped. The referee stopped him and his opportunity.

"Then gave him 20 seconds to completely recover.

"It looked really bad from ringside.

"Even Fury fans said, 'Thanks ref.'"

  • Punch stats

It was a sensational fight, edged by Usyk.

Here's the punch stats for the remarkable bout - round-by-round.

  • Fury slams his own team

Tyson Fury revealed his frustration with his team after losing for the first time in his career to Oleksandr Usyk.

After the first loss of his 16 year professional career, it sounded as though Fury was questioning the advice given by father John Fury and American coach Sugarhill Steward,  after they apparently failed to warn Fury that his undefeated record and WBC title were on the line following Usyk's mid-match rally.

Fury said: “I'm not a judge and I can't judge a fight while I'm boxing it.

“If they'd said to me before the last round that I was down I would have gone and tried to finish it but everyone in the corner believed we were up.

“All I had to do was just keep boxing and keep doing what I was doing and I was getting it.

“I'm not going to cry about it, I've had plenty of victories.

“I was having a lot of fun, I was playing around, I had my hands around my back, i was enjoying it.”

  • Dave Kidd's say

IF ever a fight demanded a rematch, then it was this instant classic.

Even the clamour for an all-British duel between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will have to quieten down so that the dethroned Gypsy King can get it on again with Oleksandr Usyk, the new undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

  • Fury's epic rise

Pictures before Tyson Fury made his millions have emerged.

They show the Gypsy King living a completely different life to the one he is accustomed to now.

  • Fury flies home like a king

Bruised and battered Fury was whisked to Riyadh airport for the flight home to Manchester.

And he eased his pain by flying home aboard a £34million private jet — a state-of-the art Embraer Lineage 1000E, dubbed “the pinnacle” of private plane glitz.

The flying palace is equipped with a huge living area, queen size bed, white-leather seating, two bathrooms with a shower and “wine cellar”.

The chartered flight will have cost around £12,000-an-hour to hire, including transit time and hours spent on the ground awaiting its VIP passenger and his entourage.

  • 'Fury could retire'

Former world champion Johnny Nelson fears "devastated" Tyson Fury could retire from boxing following defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

He told Sky Sports: "I think Tyson Fury will be devastated at the result of that.

"Tyson's team will have serious conversations about motivating him after this and get his mind back.

"Don't be surprised if Tyson walks away from this. What more can he do? How can he improve from that?

"This defeat would have done his head in and his heart in."

  • Fury controversy

Tyson Fury's comments that left a sour taste in the mouth with boxing fams stemmed from his belief he lost the fight because people sided with Usyk because of the war.

Fury said: “I believe I won that fight. He won a few of those rounds but I won the majority.

“What can you do, one of them daft decisions in boxing.

“We’ve all put on a good fight, the best we can do.

“His country is at war so people are siding with a country at war but make no mistake, I won that fight in my opinion and I’ll be back. I’ve got a rematch clause.”

  • Tyson Fury on rematch

Tyson Fury will not risk brain damage for the sake of Oleksandr Usyk revenge.

You can see my face, it's pretty busted up and he's busted too. We punched f***k out of each other for 12 rounds.

I'm going to go home, drink some food, drink some beers, have some family time, walk the dog, go to the tip and me and Frank Warren will discuss the future.

If there's going to be another fight, I think they're talking about October, then we'll rock and roll.

I'm not boxing because I've got no money, I'm boxing because I love it. I'm 36 in a few months, I've been boxing since i was a child. Where does it all end?

You have 100 fights and you have brain damage and are in a wheelchair? For as long as I'm loving the game, I'll continue to do it, and when I don't, I'll pack it up.

  • Make the rematch happen

If ever a fight demanded a rematch, then it was this instant classic.

Even the age-old clamour for an all-British duel between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will have to quieten down so that the dethroned Gypsy King can get it on again with Oleksandr Usyk, the new undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Usyk, the fighting pride of war-torn Ukraine, confirmed his status as an all-time great by unifying boxing’s gold-standard division having already done the same at cruiserweight.

All in the space of just 22 professional fights.

A rematch is pencilled in for October, back in Saudi Arabia, but Fury refused to commit to it in the immediate aftermath of his first professional defeat at Riyadh’s Kingdom Arena in the early hours of Sunday morning.

But Fury-Usyk II is what the world is waiting for - because this fight was a thrilling, white-knuckle ride which fully lived up to its hype and its £120million purse.
