LUKE LITTLER hit an incredible triple double 20 during his win over Peter Wright.

However, he proved them wrong as he showed off some of his best skills.

After a back-and-forth opening set of legs, Littler's class started to show against the Scot.

In the fifth leg, Littler produced his moment of magic as he checked out from 120.

The Nuke hit all three of his darts into the double top to send the crowd into raptures.

And although it was the night Michael Smith picked up the weekly win to book the final place in next Thursday's play-off, fans on social media were mainly stunned by the Warrington whizkid's special treble.

One posted: "Stop that Luke Littler."

A second wrote: "Pure filth."

A third commented: "He knows how good he is."

Another added: "That is just obscene."

Wright had won the opening leg, but Littler was quickly level as he won the second.

The Scot hit back in the third with two double tops in order to lead the match 2-1.

Littler persisted and dominated the fourth leg by hitting a key 180 before finishing with a double 10.

The darts wonderkid completed the win as he wrapped it up 6-4.

After the match, Littler said: "It does feel special. People said I wasn’t ready and the first few weeks explained why I wasn’t ready.

"As soon as I got my first win I settled myself into it and that’s why I won four.

"Luke (Humphries) has had a 100 average every week, I dropped off a bit. But the stats show that me and Luke are playing the best darts and that’s why we are number one and two."

The result means that Littler will finish at the top of the Premier League Darts table at his first-ever attempt.

Michael van Gerwen and Luke Humphries have already qualified for the play-offs at the O2 Arena in London on May 23.

The second match saw a straight shootout between Michael Smith and Nathan Aspinall for the final qualifying spot.

The former world champion managed to come out on top, leapfrog Aspinall into the fourth, and book his spot in London.

Humphries made it through the quarter-final as he defeated Gerwyn Price 6-4 despite missing three match darts.

Rob Cross almost pulled off the shock of the night when he took on Van Gerwen.

He was leading 4-1 after five legs, but the Dutchman stormed back to win five legs on the bounce and take the match.

Smith continued his good form in the first semi-final as he overcame Littler 6-5 after coming from 4-1 down.
