I had to land a darts title again before Luke Littler wins it all – the rest of us will be left to pick up the scraps
ROB CROSS admitted he had to take a title again before Luke Littler wins the lot!
The 2018 world champion beat Luke Humphries 8-6 to take victory in the Baltic Sea Open in Kiel on Sunday night.
Cross, 33, won five legs in a row after Humphries had hit a nine-darter in an epic final.
However, ‘Voltage’ revealed afterwards that time could be running out on the top stars to stop teen sensation Littler winning every title.
He said: “I’m just happy to win again. I know when my A-game is there I can beat anyone in the world. I can even grind out titles with my B-game.
“But we’ve all just got to take a title when we can. It’s only a matter of time before the boy Littler wins everything in sight!

“He was obviously knackered when he arrived on Friday after only having four hours sleep, that’s why he lost out.
“You just have to take your opportunities when Luke is off his game!
“Seriously though, it’s likely that Luke will take some stopping when he really goes on a winning streak. The other boys will be left to pick up the scraps.”
Cross also had special praise for world champ Humphries who hit 180, 180 and 140 for the perfect leg in the final.
Inside Littler's massive rise
LUKE LITTLER has taken the darts world by storm since exploding onto the scene at the PDC World Championship.
The Nuke reached the final on his Ally Pally debut at just 16 years of age - smashing records along the way.
He has since joined Jude Bellingham on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list.
And the teenage titan even had to snub an invite from the WWE.
The Sun exclusively revealed that Littler is plotting to create a fitness empire.
He is also cashing in away from the Oche thanks to an Instagram side hustle.
And he's even the face of a brand new cereal.

He added: “When he was 5-3 up in the final and hit the nine, it seemed all over.
“But Luke is another amazing guy. He’s world No.1 and world champ for a reason. He’s the best player on the planet with Littler.
“With these two Lukes, they really have got it all to dominate the game for a very long time.
“Trust me though, I’ll keep battling to keep up with them and take titles off them. That’s perfect motivation for us all.”
Littler allegedly earns around £5,000 per day in prize money on the pro darts tour.
And he is on course to become the first £40million darts player.
