Bryony Frost living the ‘dream’ in France after starting new job for ‘phenomenal’ owners

Jockey won't be seen in Britain over the summer

BRYONY FROST says she is living the 'dream' as she starts a new life in France for two of racing's biggest owners.

Frost told Sun Racing she was considering her options across the Channel with her number of British rides drying up.

But the life-changing opportunity to ride for the Double Green team has landed her arguably her biggest gig in the saddle yet.

Munir and Souede are the multi-millionaire duo behind the likes of former Ballymore and Aintree Hurdle winner Impaire Et Passe and Irish Grand National hero Intense Raffles.

They have signed up Frost to ride their horses in France, with the former King George winner making her debut on Wednesday.

Punters were left dismayed at the number of rides Frost - who won a bullying case against rival Robbie Dunne - was getting in Britain.

Now she hopes to make a permanent mark overseas where, as a woman jockey, she will get a 4lb allowance in a number of races.

Frost told the : "It's difficult to say if it was a surprise to get this job but it's a huge opportunity and one that fills you with huge self-confidence.

"The Double Green are a phenomenal team and always thinking of news ways to grab the advantage.

"For me, the 4lb weight allowance for women riders is the cherry on top. It's not for every race - but I'll take it!"

Frost's former employer Paul Nicholls, who trained her beloved Frodon, recently said 'fans love Bryony more than some trainers' do in reference to her dwindling rides.

But any hangover from that bullying row will soon be forgotten in France if she starts banging in winners.

Frost said she is now based over there and will go 'wherever they need me to go'.

She added: "From schooling horses to getting to know the team, to seeing young horses… it's a huge operation and one I'm excited to be part of.

"My French is limited so the language barrier is there but Google Translate is a Godsend and there are some brilliant people who can talk English.
