Eagle-eyed fans spot what Kyren Wilson’s son did in heartwarming moment after World Snooker Championship final

SNOOKER fans spotted a heartwarming moment from Kyren Wilson's son after the World Championship final.

The Warrior claimed his first world title at the Crucible on Monday with an 18-14 win over Jak Jones.

He was joined inside the arena by his family as he received the trophy.

Amongst those alongside him was his young son, who fans spotted shaking Jones' hand in a touching moment.

Reacting on social media, one fan wrote: "Amazing @KyrenWilson. What a lovely family the Wilson’s are, melted my heart when Kyren’s son went over to shake Jak Jones’ hand. Such a well deserved win."

Another added: "Moment of the final definitely Kyren Wilson’s son shaking Jak Jones’ hand. Really touching."

A third also commented: "Love the fact that Kyran Wilson’s younger son’s favourite player isn’t him!"

Meanwhile, one more said: "Superb to see Kyrin Wilson’s son shaking Jake Jones’ hand at the end, without anyone telling him to do so, that wee guy has brought up the right way!!!"

Wilson had made a dominant start to the final on Sunday by winning the first seven frames.

Although Jones fought back after the opening session, the Englishman held on to win by four frames on Monday night.

Speaking afterwards, Wilson explained: "My parents have re-mortgaged, sacrificed their whole lives to keep me here. My brother, too. It’s a massive team effort.

"I said I would never cry again but I have. Jak was so tough. I don’t know if there are any people left in Wales, the amount of people cheering for him.

"My kids said in a TV interview that their sporting idol was (Cristiano) Ronaldo – hopefully I have overtaken him now."

Jones also congratulated him, with the Welshman stating: "Congratulations to Kyren and his family. They deserved it so much.

"An unbelievable tournament for me. A month ago, I was twitching in my first qualifying match. I am happy with that.

"I thought if I would try tried my best and see what happens but Kyren is solid and has a good all-round game. It wasn’t to be."
