MMA star Max Holzer walked to the cage in a Batman costume - before performing heroics against his opponent.

The eccentric German has made a name for himself with hilarious walkouts.

In his last bout in January in Newcastle he rocked up in a Buzz Lightyear uniform before beating Britain's Corey Fry.

For his return at Oktagon 57 in Frankfurt against Eemil Kurhela, he raced to the ring to the tune of Batman as the caped crusader.

And it proved a Dark Knight for Kurhela as he was chocked out in round two.

A day beforehand at the weigh in, the Finn offered Holzer a chocolate bar from his homeland.

So after Holzer's victory, he returned the favour and handed his beaten opponent some chocolate from Germany.

And following his hilarious walkout but no-nonsense performance, fans tipped the 8-0 featherweight for big things.

One said: "Another dominant submission victory for the future UFC champ Max Holzer!"
