Rollins was left in a heap after Samoa Joe, on his debut, attacked him and he will now be out for eight weeks.
Following the surprise attack, Rollins was set to face either Triple H or Samoa Joe at WrestleMania but his injury now puts his role at the event in jeopardy.
Rollins, 30, took to Twitter to show his devastation but insists his main inspiration is to get revenge on Triple H.
He said: "Wanted to take a second to thank everyone who has reached out to me over the last two days. Life doesn't always go your way, but that's no excuse to surrender.
"If anything, obstacles exist to help us grow and evolve. This re-injury to my surgically repaired knee is real and a lot is up in the air right now, but one thing remains constant: my resolve.
