Sensational Luke Littler beats Rob Cross for yet ANOTHER Premier League Darts win to book place in playoffs

LUKE LITTLER booked his place in finals night after making it back-to-back wins in Premier League Darts.

The Warrington wonderkid put on a masterclass in Aberdeen to extend his lead at the top of the table.

Rob Cross proved no match for Littler in the final, which ended 6-4 to The Nuke.

Littler drew first blood as he broke Cross' throw in the first leg of the match, only for Voltage to bounce back to level the match at 1-1.

The pair then each held throw before Littler began to ramp up the pressure, narrowly missing bullseye to break Cross for a second time.

He made no mistake when he returned to the oche however, checking out 25 to seize the initiative.

But once again Cross hit back by breaking Littler's throw at the first time of asking, before holding to make it 4-3.

That put all the pressure on Littler who responded by checking out 80 to restore parity.

Next came Littler's best leg of the night as he threw seven perfect darts to set up a nine-dart finish. It was not to be but he recovered to win the leg which left him one away from overall victory.

Littler then closed out victory under pressure, finishing on his favourite double 10 to extend his lead at the top of the table, where he now sits on 36 points.

Littler stood top of the rankings going in to Night 14 after winning three previous nights, including last week in Liverpool where he also beat Cross.

He has now won 21 matches in what has been an incredible Premier League Darts debut, and will likely be the favourite to win the competition ahead of the play-offs.

Littler beat Nathan Aspinall in his quarter-final, making harder work of the tie than he should have after missing several doubles, including four match-winning darts.

But he held his nerve amid jeers from the crowd to win 6-5 - before turning around and shushing the Scots.

Next came a blistering display against a player he had only beaten once prior, Michael Smith, thrashing the former world champion 6-1 to set up his final match up against Cross.

Littler averaged 110 in that clash to take his points total to 34, before picking up two more by winning the final.

He said after his win: "Now I can settle next week in Leeds and the last one in Sheffield and play with free throw.

"I'll aim to win the two nights coming up.

"I think I've definitely settled myself into it, I know the routine. I've won four nights now and I feel like I've settled myself."

But when asked if he is the best player in the world, Littler replied: "No. Not me."
