Just after the hour mark, the German doubled his tally against his ex-side with a superb strike for 4-0.

Ben White also claimed a stunning double on the night to cap off a 5-0 win in the London Derby and extend the Gunners lead at the top of the Premier League table.

  • Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    17. Just came across another replay of that Jackson challenge by the way.

And it was even worse than last time. Bad one...

  • Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    16. A great opening for Chelsea there as Gallagher gets his first involvement.

He squares up Ben White before curling a great ball across goal with his left foot.

Madueke is steaming in but only after being on his heels eventually and he can't make contact and it bounces away to safety.

  • Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    15. Chance!

Tomiyasu rises highest but can't get over the top of it, heading it well off target.

  • Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    14. Arsenal corner as White's low cross is put behind by Cucurella.

  • Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    13. Good spell of possession for Chelsea after Rice gives it away.

Badiashile ends up with the ball back on halfway before passing it to Odegaard and then fouling him to prevent it going any further.

  • Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    10. Huge chance for 2-0!

The ball finds Havertz in the box who only has one defender and the keeper to beat.

He works it onto his left foot and opts to try and slide in Rice who made a lung-bursting run to catch him up inside the area.

But good tracking back prevents the ball reaching him inside the box and it's scooped to safety.

  • Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    9. Tomiyasu is down after a coming together with Nicolas Jackson.

He gets back to his feet quite gingerly - and no wonder.

Replays show it's a bit of a shocking challenge on him from Jackson. Slowed down it looks high on the ankle. But he gets away with it.

  • Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    7. Caicedo and Fernandez penalised for fouls in the space of 20 seconds. Enzo's second of the game already.

That would be a popular pick in some bet builders out there.

Arsenal have a free kick 35 yards from goal near the touchline which Odegaard swings in but it's straight to Petrovic.

  • Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea

    5. That didn't take long! Trossard - who scores the equaliser when these sides last met - with the opener.

Rice drives at the back line and keeps going, going and going before he's opposed on the edge of the Blues box.

He slides in Trossard on the left side of the area who takes one touch and smashes the ball at the front post and it flies in off Petrovic.

Keeper has to do better. Much better in fact. But good play from Rice.

  • GOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLL!!

LEANDRO TROSSARD HANDS ARSENAL AN EARLY LEAD!

  • Arsenal 0-0 Chelsea

    3. Gallagher taking up the No10 role, with Enzo and Caicedo behind him.

Arsenal stroking the ball about well in these early exchanges.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Chelsea

1' Would've been a soft penalty in any case.

He'd have had a decision to make though...

Enzo with an early foul on Odegaard in the centre circle.

  • Arsenal 0-0 Chelsea

1' A penalty claim inside 30 seconds for Arsenal!

Kai Havertz goes to ground after latching onto a great pass from Ben White.

The offside flag goes up in any case.

  • KICK OFF!

Enzo Fernandez gets the game underway!

The atmosphere nice and hot as you would expect!

  • Grouped

The two sides break into their own huddles after the coin toss.

A reminder, it's Simon Hooper in charge tonight.

  • Here they come

Martin Odegaard and Conor Gallagher lead out the two teams!

There's giant flags being waved around the stadium.

The usual 'Arsenal, Arsenal, Arsenal' being sung by the home fans as they players line up for the pre-match formalities.

  • In the tunnel

The two XIs have gathered in the Emirates tunnel.

  • With or without Cole

Mauricio Pochettino is confident his side can perform and get the result tonight - even without his star man.

Mauricio Pochettino says he has full faith in his team to beat Arsenal tonight – even if Cole Palmer doesn’t make it.

He said: "With or without Cole we always believe we can win. The most important thing is the team and the collective. He is an important part of the team and is doing fantastic for us, but we are Chelsea and we have plenty of players that can perform and do the job.

"It is a good challenge. It’s a good challenge for the teammates. If I am a teammate of Cole Palmer in his position or a similar position, I am going to be motivated to go there and show this is Chelsea Football Club, not Cole Palmer Football Club.”

  • Final prep

The players are wrapping their warm-ups up and are heading back in to finish getting ready.

For all the talk that Kai Havertz has been a good signing, the stats with 'struggling' Nicolas Jackson almost match up.

Jackson has one more Premier League goal, with Havertz having one more assist - despite playing more games than the Chelsea forward.

If you think Havertz will hit double figures in the league tonight against his former club, he is 23/4 to score the first goal of the match and 41/20 to score at anytime at .
