Cheeky goalkeeper handed ELEVEN-game ban after being spotted pointing laser at opposition keeper

It is not the only punishment he has received

ARGENTINE goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman has been handed an 11-game ban for pointing a laser at an opposition goalkeeper.

The former international was spotted attempting to distract Monterrey's Esteban Andrada from the stands.

Guzman was caught in the act during Tigres' 3-3 draw away at Monterrey on Sunday.

He had been absent from the squad as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

However, that did not stop the 38-year-old from pointing a laser at Andrada during the first half.

His antics were disrupted by Monterrey president Jose Antonio Noriega, who stood in front of Guzman.

The veteran keeper has also now been punished by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF).

He has been slapped with an 11-match ban for his derby day behaviour.

Meanwhile, the FMF have also issued a fine and sentenced Guzman to community service, report .

The derby draw leaves Tigres seventh in the Liga MX Clausura with two matches remaining.

Guzman has been at the club for a decade after moving to Mexico from Newell's Old Boys in 2014.

He has since made 458 appearances for the club and even scored a goal as well as four league titles and a CONCACAF Champions League.
