FLOYD MAYWEATHER has incredibly revealed a superfight with UFC champ Conor McGragor WILL likely happen.
The 49-0 legend has been retired from the ring since defeating Andre Berto on points in September 2015.
But he announced before the Carl Frampton versus Leo Santa Cruz fight in Las Vegas this morning his desire to return to action to fight the Irish star.
Mayweather : "Most likely the fight between me and Conor McGregor will happen.
"That's the only fight that will get me back in the ring.
"He's going to do a job on his side and we are going to do a job on my side and hopefully all the fans in the UK come over and support me.
"I don't know (when it will be), I need to communicate with my team, the fight hasn't been made yet, but it is all about entertainment so hopefully we can make it happen."
The former five-weight division champion has been linked with a bout with McGregor since last year.
It is believed the fight would break records, with fans of both boxing and UFC lured into buying the box office brawl.
McGregor, who is nicknamed the Notorious, recently said Mayweather was "scared" to step in the ring with him.
The pair have been in a bitter war of words ever since, and now they look set to settle their differences inside the ring.
Irish boxing legend Steve Collins has offered to coach the UFC star to show him how to win what is likely to be a boxing fight rather than an MMA clash.
McGregor is on an extended break from UFC as he awaits the birth of his first child later in the year.
He appeared in Manchester on Saturday night at a fans' event, and bought both his sisters Rolex watches during an amazing shopping trip last week before later lashing out a fan who was filming him as he drove his car.
We revealed on Saturday he has turned down a mega bucks offer to appear at WWE’s flagship event Wrestlemania.
