CONOR MCGREGOR's claim that the date for his clash with Michael Chandler has finally been finalised has been denied by Dana White.
The Notorious has been matched up against the former three-time Bellator lightweight champion since last February when it was announced they'd be rival coaches on season 31 of the Ultimate Fighter.
They were expected to throw down late last year, although their eagerly-anticipated dust-up didn't end up coming to fruition.
McGregor, 35, claimed on New Year's Eve that he would trade leather with his fellow fan favourite at UFC 303 on June 29.
The Irishman doubled down on that claim minutes before the UFC 300 ceremonial weigh-ins, writing on Instagram: “The fight is on!
"McGregor vs Chandler! See you on the date I said.”

But White brushed off claims of an announcement during this weekend's historic fight card, saying: "I saw the post, I saw the post.
"I don't know what the Telebtubby means, but it could be. Hopefully, that's what we want to do."
The 54-year-old added: "I can honestly sit here and tell you that we do not have a deal done for the Conor fight.
"I know there are a lot of rumblings and people expect the place to go black and some big f***ing announcement.

Former two-division champion McGregor hasn't set foot inside the octagon since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
The Notorious has been champing at the bit fight after completing his painstaking rehab and plans to get back in the win column in emphatic fashion.
He said: “I’m going to kick this guy in the head. He’s just tailor-made for being kicked all over the place.
"And that’s what I’m aiming for, I’m aiming to wrap this steel bar around the opponent.
"And you’ll see a visual of the leg hanging off, and then you’re going to see a visual of a head hanging off."
