Michael van Gerwen launches stinging attack on Luke Littler after beating wonderkid, 17, in Premier League Darts final

The attack was unprovoked and took aim at something out of Littler's control

MICAHEL VAN GERWEN has launched a shock attack on Luke Littler after his Premier League Darts win.

The Dutchman returned to form on Night 11 of Premier League Darts and beat Littler in the final.

It is his first win since Night 4 and while he shared his satisfaction with his performance, Van Gerwen also took aim at his opponent.

Van Gerwen, 34, expressed his confusion after Littler was included in Forbes' 30 Under 30 list for European sport and gaming stars.

Littler made the cut alongside Real Madrid and England star Jude Bellingham, and Formula 1 ace Lando Norris.

But Van Gerwen claimed he should not have been included as he is yet to win anything, before going on to slam Littler's performance in the final.

Van Gerwen said: “With all due respect, he hasn’t won anything yet. If people haven’t won anything yet, should they be getting into Forbes.

“He played c**p tonight and I beat him, that’s the reality. I’m happy with the win, and we move onto the next one.”

Littler, 17, won the previous two nights of Prem Darts and sits top of the table - four points ahead of Van Gerwen.

But Van Gerwen still believes he is the man to beat and pointed to his vast experience over the teen sensation.

“You play each other so often, you are going to win two times and then lose two times. That’s the way it is. That’s going to happen in the Premier League.
