Luke Littler fires cheeky dig at Liverpool after shock 3-0 home defeat to Atalanta just minutes after losing himself

DARTS star Luke Littler poked fun at Liverpool following the club's 3-0 defeat to Atalanta on Thursday.

The Reds suffered a shock loss at Anfield in the Europa League, leaving Jurgen Klopp's treble hopes hanging by a thread.

Goals from Gianluca Scamacca and Mario Pasalic gave the Serie A side a three-goal advantage heading into next week's match at the Gewiss Stadium.

And Manchester United supporter Littler couldn't help but rub salt into the wounds of Liverpool fans at full-time.

The 17-year-old took to Instagram to share the scoreline, simply commenting: "Oh dear 🙈."

Littler poked fun at Klopp's side from the Utilita Arena in Birmingham on night 11 of Premier League Darts.

After beating Rob Cross in the quarter-finals and Luke Humphries in the semi-finals, the teenager lost 6-3 to Michael van Gerwen in the final.

But thanks to his recent results, he remained top of the table with 26 points.

Meanwhile, Van Gerwen increased his total to 22 points.

Speaking after the final, the Dutchman told Sky Sports: "It's about time. I have made it hard for myself to be fair.
