Arsenal wonderkid dubbed club’s ‘future’ to QUIT in summer transfer after failing to break into first-team

A move to La Liga could be on the cards

ARSENAL youngster Charlie Patino is set to leave the club this summer, according to reports.

The 20-year-old has spent over two years trying to establish his spot in Mikel Arteta's first team squad.

, Patino could seek a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

Arteta is expected to sanction the midfielder's departure this summer, allowing Arsenal to cash-in on him before his contract expires in June 2025.

Patino holds a Spanish passport through his father, meaning a move to La Liga could be convenient for both parties.

It also gives him additional options across Europe because clubs will likely avoid post-Brexit issues.

The England Under-21s star made his Arsenal debut in a 5-1 League Cup win over Sunderland in December 2021.

He came off the bench to score for the Gunners in added time.

Patino's only other first team appearance came in a 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest the following month.
