He went around in 68 today which is some effort.
His playing partner goes around level par for the day, keeping on five over.
Tiger Woods (+6) Tyrell Hatton (+1)
Unbelievably, Woods registers a second double bogey in as many holes.
Since a birdie earlier in the round, it has all gone pear-shaped for the American.
Hatton remains one under for the day and one over for the tournament.
Matthieu Pavon (-1) Ludvig Aberg (-3)
Aberg sinks a brilliant putt to move to three under.
There was a huge break on the putt but he read it so well and had the perfect pace also.
His playing partner gets a par to stay at one under.
Collin Morikawa (-4) Cam Davis (-3)
Morikawa gets his round off to the perfect start.
A birdie on the first hole takes him to within two shots of the leaders.
Davis cards a par to stay at three under.
Tiger Woods (+4) Tyrell Hatton (+2)
Woods registers his first double bogey of the tournament.
Going into the bunker in his approach to the green, he caught the recovery thick and left himself a huge putt.
Hatton also had a long putt for par, which he didn't hit hard enough, as the line was perfect.
Chris Kirk (+1) Tony Finau (+4)
With three holes to play, Chris Kirk is carding one of the rounds of the day.
He is four under par for the day, coming back from five over.
Finau is one under for the day but remains four over par.
Hatton finding touch around the greens
Tyrell Hatton sinks a putt from off the green to keep the momentum going.
He is one under par for the round, leaving him one over for the competition.
Sinking this one should boost his confidence.
Akshay Bhatia (+4) Shane Lowry (+3)
Up and down round for Bhatia so far as he got himself to two over.
Couple of bogies then sees him drop to four over par.
Lowry is consistent so far, he dropped a shot but then birdied the next hole to get himself back to where he started the day.
Byeong Hun An (-1) Cameron Smith (-1)
Both golfers get their round started with a par on the first.
They are well positioned to close the gap on the players above them.
The conditions are perfect out there now for some good scores.
Sepp Straka (E) Matt Fitzpatrick (E)
Solid start by both players with two pars.
They start the day well positioned to close the gap on the leaders.
Straka and Fitzpatrick will need to start turning pars into birdies to do just that though.
Tiger Woods (+2) Tyrell Hatton (E)
It is shaping up to be a good day for Hatton.
Two birdies in three holes takes him to level par.
Meanwhile Woods misses a putt for par to go two over.
Chris Kirk (+2) Tony Finau (+4)
Chris Kirk is having one of the best rounds of the day so far.
He has come back from five over par with three birdies.
Finau is one under for the round.
Tiger Woods (+1) Tyrell Hatton (+1)
Two pars to start the round for the former Masters champion Woods.
Hatton makes a good start with a birdie on the first hole to take him to one over.
He is unlucky on the third as he plays a sublime approach shot but with the current speed of the greens it goes off the back.
No justice for the Englishman.
Patrick Cantlay (+1) Neal Shipley (+4)
A birdie on the second hole gets the round off to a good start for Cantlay as he moves to one over par.
Shipley bogeys the third to go to four over par.
Cantlay showed off his touch in the bunker as he managed to save par.
Jose Maria Olazabal (+9) Luke List (+2)
Luke List is having a cracking third round at Augusta.
Starting off with a birdie and an eagle, he has picked up four shots from his starting score of six over par.
Not such a good day for Olazabal who has dropped three shots on this round.
Erik van Rooyen (+4) Will Zalatoris (+2)
Solid start by van Rooyen with four pars to start his round.
Zalatoris birdies the fourth hole to pick up a shot.
A good round today would put him back in the pack for the final round.
Rory McIlroy (+4) Camilo Villegas (+5)
After both players find the fairway bunker from the tee, they pull off some great shots in approaching the green.
McIlroy sinks a great putt for birdie and Villegas follows suit from closer.
Both golfers will be pleased with those scores on the par 5.
Tiger Woods (+1) Tyrrell Hatton (+2)
Huge cheers from the crowds as Tiget Woods' name is announced on the first tee.
He hits monstrous drive straight down the middle of the fairway.
Hatton also plays a tidy tee shot to get his round started.
Rickie Fowler (+5) Hideki Matsuyama (+4)
After a brilliant approach shot from Fowler on the 14th hole, he sets himself up with a birdie chance.
The American plays it with some pace and there is more break from right to left than he factored for.
Matsuyama sinks a long putt to save his par.
Sahith Theegala (+4) Phil Mickelson (+7)
The former Masters' champion has a nightmare on the third hole.
Mickelson triple bogies the hole to take him to seven over.
Theegala is shooting consistent pars so far.

Disappointing sixth hole for McIlroy.
After missing a putt for par, he manages to get down for a bogey.
Villegas two putts for par to stay at six over.
Rickie Fowler (+5) Hideki Matsuyama (+4)
On the par three twelfth hole, only Matsuyama finds the green from the tee.
Fowler plays a sublime chip shot as he sees the ball drop into the hole for a birdie.
Matsuyama has a putt for birdie but narrowly misses so has to settle for a par.
Changing conditions at Augusta
The flags are showing that the wind is picking up once again.
It makes it more difficult to judge shots, in particular, approaches to the green.
The players teeing off later may have a much tougher task.
