"I don't call myself Big Meeks, people call me Big Meeks."
Lineker then interrupted, joking: "You've called yourself Big Meeks loads of times on this podcast."
Richards then said: "Yeah, but Big Meeks is like a caricature of one's self.
"Big Meeks is not a real person. Big Meeks is like a version of one of my personalities that comes out when I am on TV.
"And sometimes it really comes out."
To which Lineker replied: "Too much information."
During the podcast, Shearer also predicted a stunning career switch for Manchester United star Mason Mount.
