LUKE LITTLER has been recognised by Forbes as one of the best rising stars in sport alongside some superstar names.

The darts sensation has risen to fame since he burst onto the scene with his World Championship success earlier this year.

The Forbes' 30 under 30 is a set of lists that takes note of people under the age of 30 who are excelling in their area of expertise.

Littler, 17, has been recognised by the outlet within the Sports and Games category for his meteoric rise and success within darts.

Following his World Championship heartbreak the Nuke has won the Bahrain Darts Masters and the Dutch Open as well as topping the Premier League Darts table with his two consecutive nightly wins.

Littler was chosen for the honour by a panel of judges including Team GB hero Sir Mo Farah and Fifa's Chief of Women's Football Sarai Bareman.

Other stars that made the list included England sensation Jude Bellingham and his Real Madrid teammate Vinicius Junior, 23.

Bellingham has been a revelation in Spain where he has staked his claim as one of the best players in Europe this season.

The 20-year-old will also be the centre of attention this summer when England head to Germany to compete in the Euros.

Lionesses star Alessia Russo, 25, also made the list after becoming an important figure for Sarina Wiegman's side and making a high-profile move from Manchester United to Arsenal in the summer.

She wasn't the only women's footballer to be honoured with Women's Ballon d'Or winner Aitana Bonmati, 26, also listed by Forbes.

Away from football, Formula One star Lando Norris, 24, was given a place on the list after his sixth place finish in the driver's standings in F1 last season while driving for McLaren.

While Team GB gymnast Jake Jarman, 22, was recognised for being the reigning world vault champion and a four-time Commonwealth Games champion ahead of his Olympic hopes in Paris this summer.

Previous sports stars who have been named on the list and gone on to achieve great thing include Masters champion John Rahm and Dutch wheelchair Tennis player Diede de Groot.
