The midfielder said one thing his rivals need to do this season

While City created a few threatening chances the Gunner defended impressively to only hand Pep Guardiola's side one point.

But as Liverpool won their game 2-1 against Brighton it has left City trailing Arsenal by one point and the Reds three in the table.

In the unlikely chance all three teams win all their next fixtures City will finish third.

And midfielder Silva was honest that for City to stand a chance at winning the title their rivals have to drop points.

Reporter Patrick Davison reminded him that City have nine games instead of seven left this season.

The Portuguese said: “A lot can happen now, because [there are] seven games right?,” before the interviewer interjected.

“Oh nine? That’s better for us,” he added with a smile. “I thought it was like seven or eight but nine is better because a lot can happen."

The reporter jokingly asked: “Back in it?” to which Silva responded: “Yeah, we’re back in it.”
