Liverpool and Tottenham in three-way transfer battle for Fulham star as Italian giants enter race

The interest comes as the Italian side prepare to lose a key defender in the summer

LIVERPOOL and Tottenham have been joined by AC Milan in the race to sign Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, according to reports.

The centre-back, 26, will become a free agent in the summer if he does not sign an extension at Craven Cottage.

Fulham have offered the ex-Manchester City man a lucrative new deal as they bid to keep him in West London.

However, they face serious competition from some of Europe's biggest clubs.

Liverpool and Tottenham are being linked with a move for the Manchester-born defender.

The Reds are uncertain about the futures of both Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip.

And Spurs could yet strengthen their own back line despite signing Radu Dragusin in the January window.

But according to , AC Milan have now also identified Adarabioyo as a transfer target.

Simon Kjaer is set to leave the San Siro when his contract expires at the end of the season, while Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw have endured injury issues in recent months.

AC Milan sit second in Serie A, 11 points adrift of runaway leaders Inter Milan.

They are also still in the Europa League and will face Italian rivals Roma in the quarter-finals.

Adarabioyo has made 128 appearances for Fulham since joining from Man City in 2020.
