Who is Steve Davis?
Steve Davis is a retired English snooker player who is a commentator, DJ, electronic musician and author.
He was born on August 22, 1957 in Plumstead, London.
Davis retired from snooker in 2016 after playing 38 seasons as a professional.
He then became a regular commentator and analyst for BBC’s snooker coverage.

For his services to snooker he received a MBE in the 1988 Birthday Honours and an OBE in the 2000 New Year Honours.
Davis also has a passion for rock music and in 1996 he joined Phoenix FM.
BBC Radio 6 hosted him as a guest presenter in 2011 and from 2015 he started to play DJ sets regularly in London bars and nightclubs.
He also performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2016 with artist Kavus Torabi and in July 2023 he had the opportunity to DJ in Wembley stadium in front of 90,000 people.
