DARREN FLETCHER is reportedly set to be handed a new role at Manchester United.
The club legend has been working at the club as the technical director.
The has claimed that the title is "misleading" due to what he actually does at the club.
The outlet suggests that it does not reflect his role at the club as he has been coaching and acting as the first-team liaison.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is said to want to hire a new technical director as part of his overhaul at Manchester United.
The new employee would report to potential arrival Dan Ashworth in an attempt to revamp the footballing set-up.

It is suggested that they would work alongside Ashworth in recruitment.
They would also oversee work happening in the departments of sports science, medical, strength and conditioning and nutrition.
Fletcher is said to still be committed to working at Old Trafford despite interest from elsewhere.
The report claims that there are a number of clubs in the EFL who have previously shown an interest in the Scotsman.

The interest would have seen him leave the Red Devils and take up a job as a manager.
It is suggested that there is a "willingness from all sides" for Fletcher to stay at the club.
However, there would likely be a new role given to the retired midfielder to better reflect his work.
Ratcliffe and Ineos have already been at work to update the club's backroom staff.
Omar Berrada has left Manchester City in order to take up the role of chief executive.
The club have also been linked with poaching Crystal Palace's Dougie Freedman in order to head up the recruitment department
