Former darts world champion Gerwyn Price to make rugby return a decade after quitting the sport

Price will line up alongside several ex-Wales internationals

The Welshman, 38, gave up rugby back in 2014 to concentrate on his blossoming darts career.

And it has paid off for him as he went on to claim the world title in 2021.

Price also won the Grand Slam three times in four years between 2018 and 2021.

But he is now preparing to pull on his rugby boots once more as he has been announced to play in Martin Jones' testimonial on March 29.

Price played as a hooker for Welsh Premier Division sides Neath and Cross Keys.

He also competed in rugby league with South Wales Scorpions and Blackwood Bulldogs - and was capped by amateur international rugby league side Wales Dragonhearts.

And Price is one of several big names that will feature for Martin Jones XV against Neath Legends.

The darts star will play alongside several former Wales internationals.

They include Rowland Phillips, Nathan Brew, Jonathan Spratt and Arwel Thomas.
