‘I said friends didn’t I’ – Micah Richards is left stunned as he finds out why he wasn’t invited to Alan Shearer’s party

Richards had plenty of fun this weekend despite the party snub as he claimed he could beat up a much-loved pundit

MICAH RICHARDS was left stunned after finding out why he was not invited to Alan Shearer's party.

The pundit quickly spoke up after finding out about Shearer's gathering on The Rest is Football podcast.

Host Gary Lineker broke the news as he explained the show was a day late because of it.

Shearer attempted to play down the 'party' nature of the event, claiming he only had a few friends round.

But Richards quickly interjected with an outburst, saying: "Hold on! A gathering and we weren't invited?

Shearer, with a big grin on his face, quickly hit back saying: "Well I said friends, didn't I?"

Despite the snub Richards revealed he still enjoyed his weekend - thanks to Manchester City's 3-1 derby win over Manchester United.

The pundit also enjoyed Lineker comparing Jermaine Jenas to Fulham striker Muniz on Match of the Day.

Richards was left in stitches after learning Jenas was not happy being likened to the Brazilian looks-wise.

After looking at a photo of Muniz he said: "Jermaine after a night out and a couple of days of no sleep.

Richards also had fun winding up Roy Keane as the pair worked the Manchester Derby, with the former defender telling his colleague he would "eat him for lunch" if the pair met in the boxing ring.
