NICO WILLIAMS has been sent off for receiving two yellow cards in the space of 12 seconds.
The 21-year-old was dismissed in the 40th minute of Athletic Bilbao's clash with Real Betis in La Liga.
Williams was attempting to defend a short corner taken by Betis when he clumsily clattered into and brought the Frenchman to the ground.
Referee Guillermo Cuadra rightfully dished out a yellow to Williams and awarded a dangerous looking free-kick to Real Betis.
But after seeing yellow, Williams showed his inexperience - and perhaps immaturity - by seemingly clapping the referee's decision sarcastically and giving him a thumbs up.
The man in charge didn't take well to the Spanish international's antics and immediately reached for his pocket to give him a second yellow and a subsequent red.

And a third wrote: "That Nico Williams red card is very funny."
Ultimately the red card cost Athletic Bilbao too as they went on to lose 3-1 to Real Betis allowing the Verdiblancos to make up valuable ground on their rivals for a European spot.
Aside from his lack of discipline in Sunday's clash, Williams has been impressing for Bilbao this season and has attracted interest from a number of top teams.
London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are both said to be interested in signing the winger.
He has managed three goals and six assists in his 21 league appearances this term and the Premier League duo have been sending scouts to watch him play.
