He’s not that good a player’, says Dwight Yorke as he singles out £55million Man Utd star
MANCHESTER UNITED legend Dwight Yorke has singled out £55m-man Mason Mount as "not that good of a player".
The midfielder made a move to Old Trafford in the summer from Chelsea but has failed to impress since the shock switch.
Mount, 25, has not played for Man United since their 1-0 win over Luton Town back in November.
He's been sidelined with a calf problem and has made progress in his recovery, but he's still not fit enough to make his return and it is unclear when he will be available for selection.
And this has been a concern for Erik ten Hag's side who spent a huge sum of cash on the midfielder.
But the Dutchman may have to look elsewhere with Mount's former teammate Conor Gallagher on the transfer radar as he is unlikely to renew his contract at Stamford Bridge which runs out June 2025.

Yorke however slammed the Chelsea boy as well as Mount to say the pair are not as good as people think.
He told : "Conor Gallagher to Man United? The question is whether Gallagher improves United and I don’t think he does.
"You can’t go buying players who aren’t better than the ones we already have.
"Is he much better than Mason Mount? I don’t think so and I’m not sure Mason is that good of a player himself.

"Yes Gallagher is a good, athletic player but you’ve still got to be better at Man United and I don’t think he is."
This season, Mount has played just 12 games in all competitions and has yet to score for his new team.
The England international did not start in any of Chelsea's last 18 matches of the 2022-23 campaign due to a pubis injury.
And in the last year, he has started nine games completing the full 90 minutes just once.
