The former ice hockey star, 23, hung up her stick in 2020 to pursue a new career.

Mikayla has since built a huge online fanbase, boasting more than three million Instagram followers.

While ice hockey was her first sporting passion, the influencer has also demonstrated an interest in basketball.

In her latest post she uploaded four snaps of herself in a gym with a rack of basketballs.

She captioned her pictures: "When you play basketball against me, even if you lose, you still feel like you won."
